Explore a collection of watercolour paintings that capture the beauty and essence of Australia’s native plants
During a short-term stay in Melbourne (Australia) as part of my PhD studies, I embarked on a project to immerse myself in the country’s unique flora. This project involved creating watercolour paintings on 300gsm paper using the wet-on-dry technique. While my drawings are a personal and artistic representation, rather than aiming for strict botanical accuracy, they capture the essence of various plants I encountered. The selection of plants was inspired by different Australian ecosystems, featuring both native and endemic species that highlight the region’s remarkable biodiversity.
